Pioneers in the Sunglasses Industry, Hailing from Granada
New Elite was born in 1992 with its first two stores in the cities of Granada and Malaga. It became the first store in Spain dedicated exclusively to sunglasses, as they were previously sold solely in optical shops. The popular neighborhood of Zaidín witnessed the steady rise of New Elite thanks to its innovative approach, stemming from the visionary idea of the brand’s founding partners.
The success was so overwhelming that New Elite quickly became an integral part of Granada’s society. Over the years, we expanded our reach with new store openings. In 1995, we established a presence in Plaza de Gracia, followed by a location in the Neptuno Shopping Center in 1997, and the commercial gallery of the former cinema ‘Aliatar’ in 1999. All these stores are situated in the heart of Granada.
Continuing our growth, three more locations were added: one in Borreguiles, Sierra Nevada, making it the highest store in Europe at over 2,700 meters above sea level, another in the Serrallo Plaza Shopping Center, and finally, one in Calle Recogidas, also in the bustling center of Granada.
